ACFA – REAL ESTATE FINANCE: WHAT COMMERCIAL FINANCE LAWYERS NEED TO KNOW

This program notes that many commercial finance transactions as well as subsequent workouts and bankruptcy in those transactions involve real estate collateral. This program is intended to inform those who practice in commercial finance some of the complexities when those transactions also involve real estate collateral. We will discuss mortgage/deed of trust issues in various states and the necessity of local counsel, as well as what counsel should know about title insurance, endorsements to title insurance and surveys.
